How can Rose and I ever thank all the Master Gardeners that helped us on Friday and Saturday with the Plant Sale!
On Friday we set up the horticultural room then groomed, displayed, and priced all the plants. We also had to check to be sure that all plants had tags and stakes in them. Thanks to all the Master Gardeners that did this ahead of time, which helped made it a very efficient and speedy process. We took a fast count and had close to 800 plants ready for the sale on Saturday.
On Saturday when we opened the doors at 9:00 a.m., there was a very friendly group of around 35-40 people already waiting for the sale to begin. We were busy for most of the morning. When we closed around 11:30 a.m. there were around 25 plants (different kinds) left. Rose and I will bring them to the plant swap in May.
We cannot thank everyone individually but BIG thanks to the cashiers, wagoneers, pricers, groomers, box people, holding area workers, floor helpers, and people who brought donuts, oranges, and water for the workers. And, we would like to extend an especially BIG thanks to all who stayed and helped with the clean up after the sale!!
