Master Gardeners and County Agents,
We are always trying new things. Last year's Annual to Perennial events were a big hit and are going to be repeated again in August, but this year we are trying some district level events, we are calling District Dig Ins which are open to all Master Gardeners and County Agents.
We have three of these events scheduled across the state. The first will be in Forrest City at the East Arkansas Community College on Monday, March 6. The second will be on Monday, March 13, in Arkadelphia at Henderson State University and the third will be on Saturday, March 18 in Ft. Smith in conjunction with the River Valley Lawn & Garden Show.
Each of these sessions will have a different outside speaker.
In addition, I will do a horticulture program and a statewide update on the MG program.
Space is limited at each location so we ask that you pick only one event. This is not a mini-state conference, there are no tours, no art & garden fair and no silent auction. It is just an opportunity for an educational event on a smaller scale and a chance to encourage interaction within a district.
The Forrest City and Arkadelphia events begin at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. and do include lunch. Both are on college campuses, so carpooling is encouraged.
The Ft. Smith event is from 3-6 p.m. and is snacks only, but does include admission to the River Valley Lawn & Garden Show which is good for all three days of their event. They have a great line-up of seminars for the show that you can listen to before moving over to the MG only event.
These events are only for Master Gardeners, not guests. Pre-registration is required. You may register via credit card or fill out and mail the registration form and your check to me.
The registration information is on the MG only portion of our website that is password protected. Click here for registration form or online registration.
If you are paying by credit card, you will receive several confirmation emails - one from bbridges (order confirmation) and one from wlewis (registration purchased).
If you have any questions, let me know.
