Great Wed. morning at the Extension Office Garden. We did weeding, pruning and cutting back some of the perennials. Thanks to Rod Gilmore, Kathy Gilmore, Priscilla Jamnicky and Joanne Ragsdale all jobs got done.
Rod did a great job of cutting back the Rose of Sharon and Burning Bush that were getting too big for us to trim without a ladder. Kathy and Rod also cut back the three Shrub Roses, and in doing so they should fill in nicely thought out the year. Priscilla, Joanne and I pulled weeds and removed the winter damage from the perennials as well as removed tons of volunteer wild Garlic-chives plants from around the other bushes.
All the tulips, irises and daffodils are really starting to bloom with the recent rains we had last week. Also had to take pictures by the two forsythia that were blooming beautifully (see pictures).
