Despite crazy weather forecasts that led to some confusion, we had a successful workday. Anne Carriere, Jane Druff, John Straight, Carol Rossell-Lesher, Jan Halligan and I worked at Jones cabin. We installed the rocks along the dripline at the back of the cabin and tackled weeds. We didn't pot up plants because, while we had pots -- we had run out of potting soil. Oops.
Jane reported that the soil testing reports were right where they should be. Joan reported that Tuesday March 21 class for the new MG's will be at the Fairgrounds and is an opportunity for education hours: Lucinda will be speaking on annuals and perennials at 8:30, followed by 10:30 a talk on insects in the garden, and Janet Carson will be talking about vines, landscaping, etc. from 1 to 4.
Even though Joan and Jane will be unable to come to the regularly scheduled PED March 27, it would be good if anyone who is available would work on the weeds because the battle has begun.
