Margareta & I want to thank John Straight, Valerie Van Zuiden, Audrey Holt, and Rod Gilmore for helping us on May 16, Tuesday at Big Spring in the Bull Shoals White River State Park. Margareta spoke of Shrubby St. John's Wort. We have two of these shrubs. We were just doing general cleanup when Ed Thomas, the Assistant Superintendent of the BSWR State Park joined us. He is also a Master Gardener. He told us what is going on in the park and that they have extra money for us to spend on plants and shrubs. YAY!! He discussed plans with us for a class about the history of Bull Shoals Dam and Bull Shoals State Park. This class will be held at the James A. Gaston Visitor Information Center in July. It will also involve the Marion County Master Gardeners as they maintain an area at the VIC.
We, of course, ended our day on the back deck of the Trout Dock enjoying fellowship and refreshments.
