Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?
By Kyle Carlsen
Assistant Editor | Bird Watcher's Digest
To get to the other side to read this special edition of BirdWire. Today is April Fool's Day, that most sacred of holidays when we should all take a moment's pause to pull a prank, tell a tall tale, or just share a laugh. We decided against pulling a prank (maybe), but we would like to share a few laughs with you.
This morning my colleagues came into my office and asked me to stop impersonating a flamingo. I had to put my foot down. And then I asked them for their favorite jokes. Naturally, most of the jokes featured birds. Here are some of the better ones. Some will make you groan. Others will have you laughing out loud like a kookaburra in an old gum tree. Either way, have fun reading them and sharing them with your birding friends!
