Dear Gardening Friends,
It's that time of year again! When all our efforts, throughout the year, are once again beginning to bear the fruits of our labors here at Barrel Rock Refuge Gardens. Each year we eagerly await the first buds, the first blooms and the first tours…our chance to show all our gardening friends the fruits of our labors.
This year, at the strong urging of my new accountant, there will be a charge of $25.00 per person attending the tours. In addition to the tour we plan to have a lovely lunch, with seasonal vegetables from the Barrel Rock vegetable garden, complete with drinks and homemade desserts, consisting of made from scratch Lemon Curd Cheese Cake, Carrot Cake, and Triple Chocolate Drizzle Cake.
Due to our diminished workforce and the time and expense involved, there will be a limited number of tours this year and I must set a minimum limit of ten people per tour, no maximum. Please call for available dates, we will be happy to accommodate your schedule.
We hope these changes won't discourage you from visiting the gardens and enjoying our Barrel Rock Refuge at it's best. We love every minute of all that goes into planning and developing the gardens but just as much, we look forward to sharing it with you! Added this year are new ornamental gardens and a wonderful collection of new birdhouses.
Hope to see you soon!
